March of the Penguins

Rating: G
March of the Penguins is a National Geographic documentary filmed in icy cold Antarctica. Narrated by Morgan Freeman, this film guides us through the Emperor Penguin’s amazing cycle of life. Weather proves to be the penguin’s primary adversary (minus-80 degree winters with 100 mph winds). Most of the footage is beyond spectacular, and the birds are super-cute. Some scenes may sadden children, such as a large bird and a seal capturing penguins. The habits and instincts are extremely interesting and there’s a great level of personal sacrifice, affection and selfless love demonstrated. The movie doesn’t credit our creator with the masterpiece of nature known as the Emperor Penguin, but March of the Penguins transforms into a picture of God’s creativity and care. Psalm 19:1 says, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.” So do the penguins.
